Wagga cyclist Peter Treloar took out the first local road race of the season, the Tolland Cycle Race.
He finished first with the fastest time of 48 minutes and 20 seconds on Sunday.
Next over the line was Dan Addison, Chris Powell, Graham Springett and then in fifth, Myles Stewart.
Organiser Barry O’Hagan made special mention of the girls who led the race until the last of four legs.
“Kate Vickers, Rebel Brooker and Elizabeth Maher only got caught in the last lap,” O’Hagan said.
O’Hagan anticipates the relatively small turn out of 20 cyclists will grow in upcoming weeks.
The handicapped race, open to everyone, runs each Sunday at 8.30am along Elizabeth Ave, Forest Hill.
