Wagga man Laurie Fitzpatrick will take part in the final event of the 10 part state marathon paddling series at Burrill Lake on Saturday. Fitzpatrick has been competitive, coming fourth in second division at the Canberra and Wagga events.
Fitzpatrick anticipates trying conditions for the 25km marathon.
“There’s more open water, I’ll be affected by wind, it’s a bit tougher for narrower boats,” he said.
