THE warm weather brings an abundance of social sporting options, including a mixed, non-contact version of AFL starting on Monday at 6pm.
Twelve teams comprised of at least nine players will take to Robertson Oval.
“Teams play with the music going at the oval, it’s good, casual fun,” organiser Karen Suckling said.
The competition will be split into two divisions to allow for more even games.
At least three women from each team must be on the field. To ensure women get a fair go, if a female scores a goal it’s worth nine points, if a male scores it’s worth six.
The ball’s lighter than your standard Sherrin, and the short field length and 20 minute halves encourage people of all fitness levels to get involved.
