In a bid to raise $2,000 for various causes Wagga man, Ben Cameron has walked from Wagga to Junee and back.
Mr Cameron moved from Sydney to Wagga 18-months ago and is in the process of becoming a catholic.
The idea for the walk came about when he was thinking of ways to support the church and help celebrate the Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church 60th anniversary on October 25.
“I thought it was a cool way to raise money for the church and charities,” Mr Cameron said.
“I’ve never done a walk this far before.”
Mr Cameron walked more than 80 kilometres over the two days.
To support Mr Cameron raffle tickets are available for purchase from members of the Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.
For monetary donations contact Greg Robertson on 0434 446 585.
Money will go towards the church, St Vincent de Paul and the Edel Quinn shelter.
The 60th anniversary of the church will be held on October 25 at the church on Bourke Street.
The celebration will begin with Mass at 10.30am and continue with a lunch. The raffle supporting Mr Cameron will also be drawn in the afternoon.
