RIVERINA’S under 13 and 14 teams have enjoyed a better day three of the AFL NSW-ACT state zone trials at Albury Sportsground.
After dropping a game on each of the first two days, the under 14 Riverina team won their two games against North Coast and Sydney North on Wednesday.
They beat North Coast 3.6 (24) to 3.1 (19) and won 3.7 (25) to 3.2 (20) over Sydney North.
On Tuesday they beat Murray comfortably, but lost to Western Sydney after a loss to Sydney South on Monday.
The under 13 team smashed North Coast 17.5 (107) to 0.0 (0) on Wednesday, but later went down to Sydney North by four points, 4.2 (26) to 3.4 (22).
Riverina 13s lost to Murray on Tuesday, but rebounded with a good win over Western Sydney.
This came after a win over Sydney South on Monday.
Riverina conclude the carnival with games against ACT-South Coast on Wednesday.
