SPONSORS have ensured Wagga bike racer Brandon Demmery will compete in the fifth round of the Asian Road Racing Championship.
Demmery’s team were set to withdraw from the fifth round in Qatar but the trip is back on courtesy of the help of his sponsors.
“I’m about to board an overseas flight to Doha in Qatar for round five of the Asian Road Racing Championship this coming weekend at the Losail International Circuit,” Demmery said.
“It will be my first ever night race under lights, and I can’t wait.”
Demmery heads to Qatar on the back of an eventful fifth round of the Australasian Superbike Championship at Goulburn.
After a good practice round on Friday, Demmery was one of a number of riders to struggle with the wet and greasy conditions.
“I was able to set a 1.03.0 lap time in the final race, proving we are getting our head around the bike, and learning what is required to make the YRD Yamaha R6 cut quick laps,” he said.
