MARRAR ruckman Matt Molkentin capped off a fine year by taking out the Bombers’ best and fairest award.
Molkentin backed up his second place finish in the Gerald Clear Medal to take out Marrar’s best and fairest count last Friday night.
Molkentin finished with 87 votes to finish eight clear of running defender Josh Hanlon (79 votes), with Josh Hagar close up in third with 74.
It was Molkentin’s first year back at Marrar after spending time back at home club Tumbarumba.
Clint Taylor (59 votes) and Brad Langtry (58 votes) rounded out the top five in the Bombers’ best and fairest.
It was a fair effort from Langtry given he only played seven games.
In other awards from the presentation night, Tara Taylor took out Marrar’s A grade netball best and fairest.
Jed Jenkins edged out Joel Kelly for the under 17 best and fairest.
Emma Burkinshaw was named Bomber of the Year for all her work with netball.
The Bombers are also yet to confirm their coaching appointments for next season after narrowly missing finals this year.
