Traffic and Highway Patrol officers found a lot more than they were bargaining for at a routine truck compliance check near Hay on Sunday.
While officers were speaking to the driver, a pipe fell from his shorts onto the ground, directly in front of police.
That prompted police to search the truck and all its occupants – a search that turned up cannabis, ice and other assorted drug paraphernalia. Both occupants of the truck were charged and will face Hay Local Court in November.
