A MT Austin mum of four has been charged with setting alight her family home on Tuesday night.
Emergency services were called to the Hunter Street home at about 9.30pm to find it well ablaze. The woman and her four children were at home when the fire ignited but all escaped unscathed. The blaze caused more than $100,000 damage. The 32-year-old was charged with damaging property by fire on Wednesday afternoon. Hours earlier, a Facebook appeal was launched to help the family.
