People who walk into a haunted house are looking to be scared but spirit medium Charmaine Wilson said her experience with the other side is very different.
Ms Wilson has met more than her share of naysayers after travelling the country for more than a decade.
There is always a skeptic or two in the audience, they sit there arms folded and give very short responses to Ms Wilson’s prompts.
But Ms Wilson said if you open your mind, wonderful things can happen.
“If I can come into your town and give a little bit of light, it’s better than doing nothing,” she said.
“I know that people have lost hope, faith and belief and they are hanging onto the void.”
Ms Wilson makes contact with the spirit world to help people who have lost a loved one to heal.
She wants people to focus on the good times they had.
“Live in their honour, not in the moment of their death,” she said.
Ms Wilson will appear at the Civic Theatre tomorrow night at 7.30pm.
