THREE rugby league warriors have combined to keep Junee in the running for the Group Nine reserve grade premiership.
Veterans Damien Miles, 40, Geremy McNamara, 41, and Darren Walker, 38, each scored tries as the Diesels produced a remarkable comeback to overwhelm Temora 28-12 in the reserve grade elimination final at Equex Centre on Saturday.
Junee was in dire trouble after Temora scored two unanswered tries in the first half to be up 12-0 at half-time.
However, in a stunning recovery, the Diesels blasted on five tries to nil in the second half to sweep past the Dragons and stay alive in the finals.
McNamara, Miles and Walker all scored tries in the Diesels revival, which came after Junee went down 34-22 to Cootamundra in the Weissel Cup elimination final.
Significantly, Cootamundra snatched a try in the last minute to upstage Albury 10-6 in the Leaguetag elimination final.
