LONG-time Wagga cricketer Anthony Baker has accepted a position in his new home at Albury.
Baker has recently moved to Albury and has been announced as the new coach of New City for the upcoming Cricket Albury-Wodonga season.
Baker enjoyed an outstanding career in Wagga and was still playing first grade up until the last couple of seasons.
With plenty of coaching experience under his belt, Baker was quickly snapped up by New City.
New City president and namesake, Anthony Baker, is thrilled to get the Wagga cricketer on board.
“It’s great to get him on board,” Baker told The Border Mail.
"We played together when I was in Wagga in the early 1990s and have stayed in touch ever since.
"My nickname up there was 'Junior'.
"He moved down here through work last year so we snaffled him pretty quickly.”
