A city councillor has hit out at council staff for “sitting on their hands” over an upgrade of Pine Gully Road.

Cr Paul Funnell said "absolutely nothing has happened” to improve safety since a fatal crash earlier this year.
The road backs onto the booming Estella Rise housing estate, with a 100km/h speed limit in some points. A council spokesman said Roads and Maritime Services was currently reviewing the road and a transport strategy would inform on future upgrades.
