A WOMAN who pleaded guilty to concealing information from police about a bungled break-in that caused a disastrous furniture store fire at Young has been placed on a nine-month good behaviour bond.
Amy McIntosh, 28, was also given a seven-month suspended jail sentence in Wagga Local Court on Friday after pleading guilty to entering a building (the Furniture One store) in September last year and denying knowledge of her defacto’s break-in that led to the fire.
Her defacto, Allan Wayne Schodde, has admitted to the break-in.
He used an angle grinder to try to open a safe in the store.
He was unsuccessful, but sparks landed on carpet and eventually started a fire that Schodde was unaware of when he left the shop empty handed.
Schodde will be sentenced in Wagga District Court.
