SIGN OF THE TIMES: Temora's Metro service station has forced the might of Woolworths to back down in the town's petrol price war.
THE ferocious petrol price war at Temora has taken another twist.
The spotlight has been fixed on the town this week after a spirited price board battle between the independently owned Metro and corporate behemoth Woolworths saw prices for E10 plunge to less than 90c a litre – the lowest in the nation. But it appears the little guy has now won. Woolworths Caltex yesterday hoisted E10 up to 133.9c a litre, while Metro was selling at 105.9.
