Holbrook is expected to come alive later this year to celebrate their naming centenary.
The town's name was officially changed in August 1915 after the name Germanton became unpopular.
Although the official date has passed celebrations will occur on October 16 and 17 to coincide with the Shire Hall 100 year anniversary.
Mayor Heather Wilton said the celebration will be family friendly with activities for all ages.
“I think every hundredth birthday is exciting, its something to be celebrating,” Cr Wilton said.
The events are mainly being organised the Holbrook Rotary Club with other community groups and organisations hosting activities.
The first night of celebrations kick off on Friday October 16 with a family movie night in the Holbrook Hall.
Saturday October 17 starts with a community breakfast before a family run or walk takes place during the day with the day finished off with a dinner, dance and auction, again held at the Hall.
