As we expected the enemy attacked the position last night with bombs, but we beat them at their own game and drove them back. We only had three casualties in our own Bn. but some other Bn’s suffered heavy. The Turks wounded and dying could be heard crying in their trenches. They must have lost heavy. We got a lot of men by sniping today down in Johnson’s Jolly. We were bombarded again today during the afternoon. We have brought Jagger back on Hdqrs and he brings us up some tea and tucker although it is nothing but biscuits and jam.
