THE alarming majority of break and enters throughout July occurred in broad daylight during work hours.
Local officers responded to 55 residential break and enters last month, with cash, jewellery and electrical equipment topping the list of items stolen. Half of the break-ins occurred in the suburbs of Glenfield Park and Tolland.
Crime prevention officer, Senior Constable Peter Narouz, encouraged people to be mindful of their home security, by ensuring all windows and doors were locked, installing home alarm systems and being aware of any suspicious behaviour. A 33-year-old Kooringal man was arrested on Tuesday for break and enter and will appear in Wagga Local Court on September 1. A 24-year-old Glenfield Park man will also front court after he was arrested for separate residential break and enters.
