John Christian Stephenson's 1915 war diary

Have been back in our old firing line today having a bit of a spell. The Turks still give this place a heavy shelling every day. Went back into the firing line on Lone Pine at 0130 and had not been there half an hour when they gave us a terrible bombardment. They blew up 200 yards of our wire entanglements and also a lot of our fire trench. I have shifted the phone into B Coy lines. The bombardment continued up till dark.
