RAIN on Friday proved the right decision was made regarding Murrumbidgee Turf Club’s (MTC) postponed race meeting.
An eight-race TAB card was scheduled for Wagga on Friday but the meeting was moved to Tuesday due to the unsafe nature of the track.
The Wagga track received one millimetre of light rain but all looks good for Tuesday.
“Light rain fell in the morning but it had no adverse effect on the track,” MTC chief executive Scott Sanbrook said.
“With the forecast for the weekend, not a lot of rain is supposed to come, so hopefully that will eventuate and we have nice days on Monday and Tuesday.”
A track inspection will be carried out on Monday.
