Thefts foiled by residents
Would-be thieves were stopped in two separate incidents where they tried to make off with cars in Wagga on Thursday night.
About 9.30pm, a Ford Falcon parked at The Haven aged care facility in Tolland was pushed down the driveway by thieves who were attempted to steal it. They ran off when residents heard the vehicle moving and sounded the alarm.
Just before 4am, an attempted car theft in Ashmont was foiled after the thieves reversed into a gate, with the crash alerting nearby residents.
