Waratahs will be without Steve Tracey for Saturday’s clash with Leeton after the fullback was handed a one-week suspension.
Tracey was red carded in the Wagga team’s win over Griffith at Conolly Rugby Complex on Saturday after a tackle on Blacks centre Andrew Madden.
Madden was lifted above the horizontal and Tracey was found guilty of his dangerous tackle charge at the judiciary on Tuesday night.
Madden played on for about five minutes before coming off the field.
The fullback was the second man into the tackle, after winger Morgan Jones had wrapped up Madden, which assisted in the hearing.
Tracey was ruled to not be the dominant tackler by the judiciary after reviewing video evidence but as it was his second offence was handed the one-game penalty.
With a Southern Inland general bye next weekend, Tracey is be free to tackle Tumut on August 8.
