The top of the table clash between the Riverina Lions and Tuggeranong transpired as a whitewash victory for the visitors to McPherson Oval on Saturday.
Tuggeranong defeated an undermanned Riverina team 7.9 (51) to 0.3 (3).
The Lions struggled upfront, with forwards Lauren Lennox and Emma McClelland unavailable, Bec Driscoll and Kahli Abbott injured and Paige Mathewson covering the midfield.
The Lions were down by 19 points after a hard-fought first half.
Key ruck player Nic Keir sustained an ankle injury in the third quarter and down a player, without a bench, the Lions tired quickly.
Young gun Elise Pevere was best on ground, hot on the dangerous Annie Ghiradello for most of the game.
Ally Reid shut down Tuggeranong's dominant midfielder Ange Ballerini.
"If we can get our best 22 together for finals, they won't know half our squad or how we play,” Lions assistant coach Julie McLean said.
