CSU increased its advantage in the Wagga men’s hockey competition following a 4-3 win over Lake Albert on Saturday.
In the top of the table clash, the Hockeyducks proved too strong for the defending premiers.
Alex Dean and Bryce Philpott both scored doubles in the win while Jake Angel, Rhys McManus and David Sterling struck for Lake Albert.
CSU have only gone down once this season and lead Lake Albert by 16 points.
Third placed Harlequins kept the pressure on Lake Albert with a 4-2 win over Cavaliers.
Pat O’Donnell scored twice in Harlequins’ win.
In women’s first division games, Rosellas smashed CSU Maroon 11-1 on Sunday.
The winless university team proved no match for the third-placed Rosellas who had seven individual goal scorers.
Carla Bailey, Shona Graham, Shae McMahon and Brydie Wellham all collected doubles while Kellie Coggan, Lucy Angel and Cindy White also scored.
In the second game, the undefeated CSU Navy enjoyed a comfortable 4-0 win over Royals Blue.
Allie Robertson, Emma Lynch, Emma Dunbar and Georgie Ross also scored in the win.
CSU Navy have won eight of its 10 games so far this season and sit four points clear of Royals White, who have played an extra game.
