Proving her all round sporting prowess, Jodie Hicks continues to excel at both Australian rules and cricket.
Hicks was selected in the open NSW/ACT women’s Australian rules team.
Hicks was the only Riverina Lions player selected in the team, who played an historic first game against Queensland on Sunday.
In previous years either NSW or the ACT have fielded individual sides for National Championships carnivals, but following a restructure this year the teams combined for the first time at senior level, to play as NSW/ACT.
The NSW/ACT team fell 11.9.75 to 4.4.28.
It comes after the 18-year-old toured Sri Lanka as part of the Cricket NSW female development.
As part of the tour to help developing players experience a whole new level of cricket, the 13-strong squad played T20 and 50 over matches against local teams.
