Australian cricketer Alex Blackwell has been announced as the inaugural captain of the Sydney Thunder Women’s Big Bash League team.
The Yenda product believes the tournament will elevate women’s cricket in the country.
“It is really going to shake up women’s cricket in Australia and around the world, I think this will be one of the leading competitions for women’s cricket and I just can’t wait to get started,” Blackwell said.
