In lieu of Brenton Roberts’ 200th match for East Wagga-Kooringal, fellow players have even more incentive to take the premiership according to Hawks coach Gavin McMahon.
“He’s pretty resilient, he’s been through some pretty tough times in the club, he’s been here when it’s down,” McMahon said.
“Now we’re going okay the boys are pretty keen to get a result for blokes like that.”
McMahon’s blown away by Robert’s commitment.
“He’s phenomenal to have on our side, he’s only missed four games over that 11 year period,” he said.
The club acknowledged the milestone match with a guard of honour on Saturday.
