A TRACK inspection of Narrandera Racecourse on Friday morning will determine the likelihood of Sunday’s race meeting.
Southern District Racing Association (SDRA) chief steward John Davidson will inspect the Narrandera track at 9am on Friday morning.
He will then make a decision on the seven-race TAB card.
Narrandera Race Club officials are confident the track has dried out since Tuesday’s inspection when Davidson rated the track a heavy 10.
The majority of the track was a slow five or six, but a 150-metre stretch in the home straight was much worse.
Any rain between now and Sunday is expected to rule the race meeting out.
Narrandera’s last meeting had to be moved to Wagga.
Racing NSW will decide on a transfer option should the Narrandera track to be deemed unsafe.
