
A GRIFFITH teenager has been charged over an alleged stabbing.
About 5pm on Sunday a 19-year-old man visited Griffith Base Hospital with stab wounds to the left side of his chest and shoulder.
The wounds were not life-threatening and the male has been released from the hospital.
Police from Griffith Local Area Command have been investigating the incident.
As a result, a 17-year-old Griffith resident was arrested at Griffith Police Station about 12.20pm on Tuesday.
It will be alleged the teenager stabbed the man during an altercation at a home on Macarthur Street between 4.30pm and 5pm on Sunday.
Police charged the teenager with wounding a person, intending to cause grevious bodily harm.
He was refused bail to appear in a children’s court on Wednesday, July 15.
