Girl charged with police assault
A 14-YEAR-OLD girl has been charged with assault and intimidation after allegedly attacking police at a department store in Young.
Police were called to the store after receiving reports the girl had become violent towards shop staff.
A staff member had approached her after suspecting she may have stolen goods from the store.
Upon police arriving, the girl allegedly became aggressive and struck out at officers. She was then taken to Young police station and charged.
