EXCITEMENT is building ahead of the Wagga Swap Meet on Sunday, with around 5000 people expected to flock to the Showground for the event.
Brian Horsley, a member of the Classic & Historic Automobile Club of Australia’s Wagga branch, which organises the event, said the Swap Meet brought people from right around the country to Wagga.
“It’s amazing to see what people do bring to the Swap Meet to sell,” he said.
“We have site holders come from not only around the Riverina, but also from throughout Victoria, South Australia, some from Queensland and throughout the rest of NSW.”
The Swap Meet, which kicks off at 7am on Sunday, is set to raise money for the children’s ward at the new Wagga Rural Referral Hospital this year.
