Marrar outclassed Charles Sturt University, winning 22.14 (146) to 4.5 (29) at Langtry Oval on Saturday.
Marrar coach Nic Casey was nonchalant about the whitewash victory.
“We really hit no special heights,” Casey said.
“We got on top of them early, and ran over them all day.”
Blessed with a combination of skilled forwards and utility players, Marrar players had confidence upfront and shared the glory around.
Four Marrar players scored at least four goals each including small forward Tyler Cunningham (five), Brad Langtry, Matthew Molkentin and Callum Gardner.
Andrew Higginson stepped up in the absence of injured centre Josh Hagar, and was named as Marrar’s best player.
CSU were ill-prepared for last week’s clash with Barellan having missed several weeks of training, and that combined with a full-on week of uni games may have taken its toll on Saturday.
