Wagga Heat coach Allan Mullins was on tenterhooks for the final two quarters of the match against Canberra at Bolton Park on Saturday.
Canberra dwindled the Heat’s 20 point lead to one point, with Sean Richardson and Mitch Brown scoring a combined four three-pointers in a row, but Wagga fought back and claimed victory, 97-89.
“The greatest thing about it was the score was 84 to 83 and we pushed them away,” Mullins said.
