WAGGA Heat’s plans to ring in a new development player have been halted by Basketball NSW.
Jacob Edwards, 15, was set to replace the team’s injured junior development player Henry Commins.
However registration cut off was round 11, and as teams approach round 17 the association has put its foot down, disappointing Heat coach Allan Mullins.
“He has shown commitment, coming to that training session each week.”
Mullins believes the cut off date should not apply to development players.
