Lake Albert bounced back from its 11-goal thumping by Harlequins in round 11, but couldn’t get the result against CSU in the men’s division one hockey action on Saturday.
In a replay of last year’s grand final, the two teams were locked 2-all at half-time before the Hockeyducks powered ahead in the second half.
Jarron Russo scored twice as CSU came away with a 4-2 win.
In the second of the men’s games Harlequins were sent back to earth with a thud by Cavaliers.
Full of confidence following an 11-0 win over Lake Albert, Harelquins proved to be no match for Cavaliers.
Led by Zac Tinning, who scored a hat-trick, Cavaliers scored a 4-2 win.
In the only women’s game, Royals White proved far too strong for Rosellas.
Isobel Cowell led the way and scored three goals, while Simone Lottler slotted two in the 8-2 win.
Due to university holidays the all CSU clash has been deferred.
