
Man flown to Sydney after crash
A WAGGA man is lucky to be alive after crashing his car into a gum tree in the early hours of Saturday morning.
About 4am on Saturday, the man’s car spun out of control on Red Hill Road, near the intersection of the Olympic Highway, and hit the gum tree.
The man had left a party shortly before the accident.
He sustained severe spinal injuries in the crash.
The man was initially taken to Wagga Base Hospital before being flown to St George Hospital in Sydney for treatment.
