Wagga City will play in first division for the second year running after slipping out of calculations on Saturday.
The Boiled Lollies started the season well, with three wins and a draw against Leeton, before things started to unravel for the club.
Hit by injuries to key men, coach Mick Small is looking for regroup and rebuild for another charge at the first division title.
“It summed up our season really, we got absolutely man handled in the forwards,” Small said.
“We just regroup now, work on trying to win that bottom six and trying to get some blokes back on the paddock.”
James Curgenven tried to battle through a calf injury while Nat Shaw, John Blackmore and James Maloney all picked up injuries.
