A DISQUALIFIED driver who allegedly hit a police car and threatened an officer with a fake rifle in Grenfell, has been arrested and charged.
The officer was forced to taser the man to keep him under control.
Police say a 20-year-old man was driving a white Caprice in Grenfell on Tuesday, when he was followed by police onto Gooloogong Road.
The man performed a U-turn and hit the police car.
He then allegedly got out of the car and produced what appeared to be rifle, which he pointed at the officer who tasered the man.
He was arrested and taken to Grenfell Police Station and charged with offences including driving while disqualified, damaging property, holding a knife and intimidating police.
He was granted bail and will appear in Grenfell Local Court on 20 August 2015.
