In a rare meteorological event the stars are aligning and the forecast is looking bright as around 150 cyclists gear up for the Wagga Cycle Classic on the weekend.
Wagga cyclist Chris Powell can hardly believe the ‘partly cloudy’ forecast.
“It’s the one race where you can expect it to rain every year,” he said.
Wagga will reach a maximum of 17 degrees on Saturday for the road race and 18 degrees on Sunday for the criterium.
