WAGGA’S Men’s Shed is about to rise from the ashes. The much-loved facility was gutted by fire in mid-2011 after mice set off a spark in the air-conditioning system. But the shed’s rebuild is now complete and it will officially reopen at a gala event at the Ashmont Avenue premises on Saturday from 3pm. Former mayor Kerry Pascoe will open the new shed at 5.30pm. Wagga Men’s Shed chairman Rick Priest said the path back from destruction was testament to the shed’s members and the community.
