COLLINGULLIE-Glenfield Park young gun Matt Kennedy is in serious doubt for the opening game of the under 18 national championshops after suffering a knee injury on Saturday.
Kennedy was taken from the field late in the third quarter of the Demons’ loss to Griffith with a dislocated knee.
The injury gave the talented teen a scare given he has been touted as a potential first round draft pick after a strong start to the year with NSW-ACT Rams.
Kennedy will have scans on Tuesday but faces a race against time to be fit for NSW-ACT’s opening game of the championships on June 20.
“At this stage it’s nothing serious, I’m hoping it might be two to three weeks,” Kennedy said.
