A split the size of a 20 cent coin in a truck’s fuel tank led to a six-kilometre diesel spill along one of Wagga’s busiest roads.
Firefighters said the truck emptied its entire 400-litre tank onto the ground between Dunns Road and Red Hill Road, prompting a significant clean-up operation and a partial road closure at 2pm.
The spill was cleared about an hour later, with absorbent laid down along the entire six-kilometre stretch.
