WHILE the Wagga City Wanderers flail in the open State League 2 comp, the youth grade side is surfacing as a genuine contender.
The Under 20s Wanderers won their second consecutive game 2-1 at Gissing Oval on Saturday.
Coach Ben Schmid said the squad controlled the game over FC Gazy Lansvale.
“We started to string eight passes together,” he said.
Schmid wants to see more urgency in attack as they play UNSW this week.
