THE future stars of NSW rugby union have dazzled during Combined High Schools state championships at Conolly Rugby Complex.
South Coast will take on Sydney North West for the state title on Friday, on the third day of the tournament.
Riverina will play-off against Sydney North East for the Plate final.
Riverina overcame a disappointing first day on the tournament to book a place in the Plate final with a 35-14 win over North Coast.
Losing both its games on Wednesday, to Sydney West and eventual finalist Sydney North West, the home team responded to give themselves a chance to take home some silverware.
Around 250 of NSW’s best schoolboy footballers have descended on Wagga for the tournament, with the facilities at Conolly Rugby Complex getting rave reviews.
Sydney North West will go into the Cup final as favourites, but had to fight off a late comeback from Central Coast to book its place.
Sydney North West got out to a big lead early, but held on for a 26-24 win.
On the other hand South Coast eased into the final with a 48-7 win over Western.
