Around Coolamon
Coolamon Shire Council will be celebrating National Volunteer’s Week from Tuesday to Friday, May 12 to 16 with all individuals currently volunteering their services invited to enjoy a complimentary morning tea in the Coolamon Shire Library between 10am and noon.
The Canola Adventurers are going on a bus trip to Ganmain on Thursday, May 7, departing the Coolamon Community Centre at 9.45am. Morning tea will be provided for the group at the Ganmain Men’s Shed before they wander over to the Historical Society for a look around the museum. They will then enjoy lunch at the Ganmain Hotel. Thank you to Adele Hearn for volunteering to drive the bus.
Pub Trivia is returning to the Ardlethan London Hotel on Wednesday, May 13, with winners going in the draw to win a share of $5000 plus other prizes on the night. Pizzas will be available and the cost will be $10 per person with all money going to a local charity.
Ardlethan bookings are being taken for a day trip to Ganmain Straw Bale House and Permaculture Garden day trip on Thursday, May 21. Cost is $20 per person, which includes light refreshments. A mini-bus is available for an addition of $15 if sufficient numbers. Tour takes about three hours and will begin at 10am. The 2015 Up2Date Art Exhibition will run from July 17 to 26 at the Up-to-Date Store, Cowabbie Street, Coolamon.
