KANGAROOS captain-coach Adam Hall was disappointed with the Roos’ effort in the local derby against Southcity on Saturday at Harris Park.
Hall refused to sugar-coat the performance.
“We were outplayed,” Hall said.
“Our defence was all right in the second half and our attack was all right in the first half.
“That’s about it.”
Roos lost back rower Trent Rands with a knee injury and prop Chris Rands sustained a broken rib.
It left the team short on the bench for the last 30 minutes.
Roos will need to bounce back quickly with a trip to Young waiting next week to take on Luke Branighan’s Cherrypickers.
Fresh from beating Roos, Southcity has the bye.
