WITH league tag registrations on the rise and the competition standard continually improving Country Rugby League has its sights set on fostering a positive culture among local players.
Regional area manager Dave Skinner said women playing league tag at representative levels will be involved in educational programs as of 2016.
“As we increase our participation level we've got to increase our social responsibility,” Skinner said.
He explained that sporting organisations are now taking on the duty of educating participants about appropriate behaviour in public.
“If one of the [rugby league] players mucks up in public it always gets linked back to our sport.”
