THERE was hardly a more popular win on Town Plate day than that of Video Show.
Wagga trainer Peter Churche and jockey Brad Clark combined on Video Show to take out The Daily Advertiser Benchmark 60 Handicap (2000m).
The striking grey came from well back in the field and charged over the top of the leaders to score a big win.
Churche only has the one horse in work so to score a win at the carnival was a huge thrill.
“It’s really good, we’ve had a bit of bad luck with this horse,” he said.
“It’s very hard to win any time, let alone the carnival when it’s a lot harder so we’re very happy.”
Clark was all smiles.
“It’s good and very good for Pete,” Clark said.
“He was always going to get the 2000 metres, it was just a matter of getting him over it.
“It’s great for Pete, he’s only got the one in and I ride it work every morning.
“And he sticks loyal.”
Video Show ($11.00) beat To Dubawi Go ($10.00) by ¾ lengths, with Mr Sommerville ($8.00) sticking on for third place.
