A JUNEE man accused of holding up the town’s Shell service station at the point of a sword and making off with $800 on Monday night has faced Wagga Local following his arrest on Wednesday.
Jamie Allen Evans, 20, did not apply for bail at his first court appearance on Thursday.
He did not enter a plea to the charge of robbery while armed with an offensive weapon.
Evans will return to court on July 8 for his lawyer to reply to the prosecution’s brief of evidence.
Evans was arrested at his home on Wednesday by Wagga detectives.
It is alleged police found items related to the robbery at an address where Evans was arrested, including a sword, a bag and a motorcycle helmet.
