Store fire puts two in hospital
A LEETON takeaway store fire has put a man and woman in hospital.
Fire and Rescue NSW extinguished the blaze at a Drummond Street address about 3.15pm Wednesday.
A 59-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman were treated at the scene for burns and smoke inhalation.
The pair was taken to Griffith Hospital, where they remain in a serious condition.
Inquiries into the incident are continuing, but initial investigations suggest the fire is not suspicious.
